The 11th of July was an important date for the ZYLIA Team. Piotr, COO and Adam, Senior Sales Specialist went to Tennessee to represent the company during 2017 Summer NAMM Show.
We began the trip at Nashville’s Fort Knox Studios (fortknoxstudiosnashville.com) with our cheerful host Doak Turner. He is a founder of musicstartshere.org, an organization created with the purpose of connecting people in the music and entertainment industries.
Fort Knox Nashville will be ready soon and will provide an approx. 188,000 square feet creative space made especially for musicians and other industry professionals with access to recording studios, rehearsal rooms, storage, offices and everything you can imagine to fulfill your dreams. This creative space is also a natural place for our Portable Recording Studio!
In the early evening together with a performing songwriter and recording artist Bonnie Lee Panda and born artist, songwriter, teacher and self-proclaimed “square peg in a round hole”, Marc-Allan Barnette we made a presentation for musicians at BMI, organization that offers career tools for songwriters, composers and publishers. Having gathered approximately 100 persons and spoken to them, everyone considered the event a great success!
During the NAMM Show the Team presented the ZYLIA Portable Recording Studio to the wider audiences, from country and bluegrass to rock and pop bands. We met a lot of interesting individuals, famous artists, active musicians and legends, people we will never forget – Bonnie, Marc-Alan, Doak, Blue Miller, Scott Pederson, Denny Sarokin, Angie Traughber, Joseph Wooten, James Hathaway, guys from the Revis band and many more! We love you all! Opinions were excellent and we could feel the energy flowing both ways – from us to musicians and from them to us, making the stay very special!
The second day of the show was huge! People were excited about the product, they kept coming and asking to do a recording. We felt honored and had a lot of fun while recording all these great artist. We did what ZYLIA does best – recording music instruments with very hiqh quality regardless of the location of the recording. In this case you can imagine that the location was pretty tough! After the recording people were blown away with the effect. They received detailed, studio-like tracks with intimacy and feeling of chemistry between musicians. Some of them used the ZYLIA Studio dedicated software on their own. It is so simple you don’t need an expert knowledge to prepare a rough mix of your music, ready to be played everywhere – even in the car on the way to the next day of the Show, exactly as we did. In our Media section on zylia.co you will find Testimonials on the subject.
NAMM: The Best in Show Award
In the end of this day we were informed about nomination to Best in Show Award, and were invited to an event next day early morning. Soon we were ready! We were very excited when Robert Christie from A&G Central Music began his short review of ZYLIA and informed that we actually won the Award!
Now the crowd got even bigger! And spontaneously everyone in the booth started singing a ZYLIA song which we are sure will become famous worldwide
Trip’s beautiful ending
This was nearly an end of our visit to Nashville. With Doak we went to Nashville’s downtown to visit some famous pubs and show ZYLIA to the public.
The reaction was awesome! From astonishment, questions if it was a famous Star Trek gizmo to desire of having a picture with it.
In the meantime between the show we were honored to visit industry parties by PMC, Vintage King etc., and took a tour to recording studios at Sputnik Sound, featuring four-time Grammy award winning producer Vance Powell or Blackbird Studio who has second biggest collection of vintage mics and is known from recording famous artists as Adele, Snoop Dogg, R.E.M and many more. We sure envy that amazing mic collection.
We’d like to thank all the people that we’ve met during these fantastic days in Nashville for the support, fun that we had during the trip and kind words we have received! See you soon!
